Our names landed next to each other on a list at college in Mumbai. Same batch, same classrooms, and we were friends within a few weeks.
2012–2025 · Friends
Thirteen years of friendship
We stayed friends long after college. Steffy moved to the US, we saw each other when we could, and for a while we lost touch altogether.
May 2025
A phone call
Gaurish called to talk about how he felt about her and asked her out. Steffy took a few weeks to think it over, then said yes.
2025–2026 · Long distance
A year and a half apart
Long phone calls most nights, and one of us on a plane most months.
March 29, 2026 · Longwood Gardens
The proposal
With friends who have loved us since 2012 right by our side, Gaurish proposed—and Steffy said yes!

Travel & stay
Getting there. Charlotte Douglas Airport (CLT) is about 25–30 minutes away by car. We’d suggest either renting a car or using Uber or Lyft — rideshares are easy to find at the airport and right across the Charlotte area, though a car of your own is worth it if you’d like to explore Lake Norman or Charlotte while you’re here.
Where to stay. A few places close to the venue:
Homewood Suites by Hilton Davidsonabout 8 minutes
Aloft Charlotte Lake Normanabout 10 minutes
Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Lake Normanabout 10 minutes
Getting around. Peninsula Prime is roughly 8–10 minutes by taxi or rideshare from most of the Cornelius and Davidson hotels. Uber and Lyft are widely available in the area, so getting to and from the celebration should be straightforward.
Make a weekend of it. If you’re staying a little longer, a few of our local favorites:
Morning coffeeSummit Coffee in downtown Davidson — good local coffee and an unhurried place to sit.
A scenic walkJetton Park in Cornelius, for lakefront trails and views out over Lake Norman.
Sunday breakfastToast Cafe in Davidson or Famous Toastery in Cornelius, for a proper classic breakfast.

RSVP
Kindly reply by Friday, October 9, 2026. One form per guest — it takes about a minute.
Yes! We are keeping our celebration small and intimate with just 40 of our closest loved ones, and we would love for you to bring your plus-one. Infants are also warmly welcomed! Please include their details when filling out your RSVP response.
Are children welcome?
Infants and babies-in-arms are warmly welcome — we know they’re happiest right there with you. Beyond that, our micro-wedding reception is an intimate evening meant for grown-ups: a curated dinner, interactive games and a DJ set that runs late. We kindly ask that you make arrangements for your children so you can relax and celebrate with us.
What should I wear?
We’d love to see our family and friends dress up with us — the dress code is cocktail or festive attire. Whether you go for Western cocktail wear or Indian attire, we want you to feel comfortable, elegant and ready to celebrate. A quick guide if it helps:
Women · WesternCocktail-length dresses, midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or elegant evening separates.
Women · IndianSarees (draped or pre-stitched), light lehengas, Anarkalis, or fusion wear.
Men · WesternA dark or neutral suit — navy, charcoal, gray — or a tailored blazer with dress trousers and a shirt. Ties optional.
Men · IndianKurta-pajama sets with a tailored Nehru jacket or Modi vest.
Footwear. The whole celebration is indoors, with carpeted flooring on the main level and a well-lit indoor staircase up to the mezzanine. There’s no grass or gravel to cross, so wear your favorite heels or dress shoes and be comfortable.
Is it indoors or outdoors?
Entirely indoors. We’re in a private dining space with a carpeted main level and an indoor staircase up to the mezzanine, so nothing depends on the weather.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on site, but if you’re planning on drinking, we recommend grabbing an Uber or Lyft so you can celebrate worry-free!
What about gifts?
Your presence is genuinely the point. If you’d like to gift something, there are a few notes below.
